In 1998, at the World Aeroatics Championships in Trencin, pilots formed a consensus to seek a more commercial approach to the arcane world of ultimate World Champion, which was more accessible to the pulic, commercial interests and, importantly, the TV camers. This consensus split between pragmatists, who sought, and achieved, Red Bull sponsorship and purists who sought closer representation of the difficulty, or K factor, included public and personality participation and thereby, TV franchises.
The T5 Super-N Challenge was born. To comply with all important safety, and differentiate the official FAI World Status, the formats were named, air race, or challenge.
RBAR World Championships are conducted by a single pilot in the performance area, the "box", and it is a time trial with limited K factor (<20), while the Super-N Challenge maintains the K factor, closer to real championships, over 200, and pits two aircraft in the box, subject to clear demarcation. The S-N box is shaped by perspective, for TV and online cameras.
The T5 Super-N challenge is now under consideration to promote the GPCJ foundation and open out public interest and TV promotions. This is also attraction new interest y commercial sponsors.
F5 and T5 - KOLs, Hodlers and general public, are invited to participate in this new venture.
